Just watched the next episode so all my memory of this one has faded.

I just watched a couple episodes of The Wire season 4 earlier, so this troubled black kid is really corresponding for me right now. Another standard episode of TIU. Once again there is a deep theme being portrayed this episode (racism); which is demonstrated pretty baseline for what it could’ve been

Starting off mildly strong. I don’t know why they would choose to display that at the end though. I’m assuming it’s clips from the future episode “Super Bowl Sunday” because of the jersey but still. They kind of spoiled that episode by including that shit at the end lol.

Smiling friends is finally delving into live action

This one was more touching than usual. Kevin’s trying to regain a connection with his brother that was lost in translation years ago. William is obviously coming to an end and Jack finally became less one dimensional.

Backstory for the doctor was a good idea for an episode. It feels kind of too soon since the pilot but whatever. What I’ve come to notice is that I don’t really like the Rebecca and Jack storyline that much. It’s so cardboard cut-out with no depth.

Still not clicking for me. Williams quote was beautiful but otherwise it was predictable and not all that interesting. Nothing strikes me about these characters yet besides maybe Kevin. Then again, Kevin doesn’t even feel like he fits in this show surrounded by these characters.

Starting to ease into the groove of the show more. Kevin’s sideline plot was the highlight. The rest was not memorable.

Tied with the pilot for best episode yet. I found Kevin’s painting allegory to be the most heartfelt moment of the series yet. Before I found the non-chronological order of the flashbacks to be sporadic without much structure but this episode actually used it to its advantage.
