Might not be the best season of the show, but it's still a special one. This was my first time seeing it, and other than it being a super long one to watch, it was still pretty cool. The format is so different from what I've come to know of the show, but that made it all the more fun to watch. This

Would've loved to see Taylor win it all, but I can't be mad. I really enjoyed seeing many of the returning players from past seasons. There are some things I could complain about, but honestly this was such a breath of fresh air compared to S1 I can't be bothered. A solid premiere.

I know I focused mainly on the negatives in my reviews, but there were still some fun parts. The soundtrack is definitely a highlight. If memory serves, this season was the series at its worst. It can only get better from here, right?

I know this ep was set up so there was a launching point for S2, but again extremes. It makes no sense for Jace to be all "He's my father," start acting out, then think "This is who I am" as if that justifies anything, especially when he wasn't doing that before he found out. Oh well. Season's over

I know I said the last episode was a fun one, but this episode is the reason why that one doesn't work for the main storyline. Also with all the liberties already taken with this show, they still felt the need to keep *that* plot point in?

This is a fun episode if you ignore some of the more convoluted aspects of the worldbuilding that also butchers the books in more ways than one. At least we got to see Church and Chairman Meow for a bit.

Quotes this episode: "You're a shadowhunter now." Y'all keep flinging that phrase around like it means something at this point. "Maybe I wanted us both to be different." Bffr. Why was that even a line here? "I don't want to be alive if we're on different sides." Y'all sure do love going to extrem

And walk, walk, walk, walk... So many narrative choices that don't make sense. Then again that's just par for the course this season.
