Finally got to finish this after my week long free subscription ran out in the middle of episode 4 last year. Really satisfying fun and inventive mystery, great humour, great cast (Schwartz and Haddish especially), I liked the conclusion even if the clues were a little obscure-I think they bombard y

Was kinda blindsided by how strong an ending this really was

Very very Russell t Davies with David Tennant episode, which isn’t a bad thing! Just getting ready for a new Doctor I think.

Desperately wanted to like this show hut gonna drop this now. Good elements but a lot of extremely gratuitous stuff

Really entertaining twist on a crime drama. My boy Stephen mangan. Watch if you like Sherlock Holmes, Penny Dreadful or anything Victorian. Or scooby doo.

In which Victor Frankenstein discovers a child is not just for Christmas. Sooo good, honestly when it’s not making me viscerally uncomfortable with mr 2008 (Dorian, you achieved eternal life now get a good hair cut) it hits the mark so smoothly. Really loving the Chandler and Vanessa friendship (al

Dorian Gray you creepy creepy boy. Much slower, lots of gratuitous stuff, and some of the characters still feel a bit thin…but that ending. One more for luck?

I’m one episode in can already tell this’ll be my new obsession. Like late season Gotham meets Dickensian meets Jekyll and Hyde with just the right amount of gore, humour and dramatic ‘something big is coming on the hills and it’s humongous and my heart bleeds’ dialogue. Really well pitched, I think

The main story being lower scale than last time is an interesting idea…but the constant flashbacks kinda ruined it for me, you don’t really get to focus on what’s happeni

Best mcu show imo (haven’t read the comics tho)

In which Tim Robison runs into your house with the same energy as a kid who’s downed every sugary sweet in the house and several hallucinogenics and proves once and for all that sketch comedy is still insanely funny. Brilliant.

Really great start to the new run. The soundtrack is great, the cast is on top form and feel suitably older (although Tennant moves like a kid on a giant pack of Haribo) and I loveddd those aliens. Some clunkier bits, pacing is off initially, the previously is odd and the resolution to the meta cris

Series 1-5 (the series I’m reviewing) really got a whole generation into history along with Doctor Who, myself included. Properly hits its stride in series 2, then won’t stop for any man (until it does).

Perfect comic book gothic pulpy cocktail, one of if not my all time favourite version of the Batman mythos, a show that can be stupid and ridiculous and insanely smart at the same time. It knows what it is, and yet does take time to elevate itself and not lose its earnestness amongst the absurdity.

Got halfway through episode 1 and had to switch off. Felt very gimmicky and tryhard. Watch the outlaws instead.d

Similar trajectory to arrested development, awesome first three seasons then dips hard. Five and six recover slightly but it never hits the same level.

Nobody talks about this show and that’s sad to me, it’s like a graphic novel on screen, the whole vibe of it is lovely.
