Oh, Gotham. Just saying I adore you would be an understatement. I love how corny, ridiculous, comicbook-y and campy yet incredibly grounded, sincere, dynamic, gritty and cynical you are. I love how well developed almost all your characters are. I love how you’re such an marvellously over the top and insane introduction to so many iconic characters from the mythos of the Batman. You show a true love for these characters and their stories. I love the focus of Jim Gordon and Bruce Wayne, how compelling they both are. I love their performances. In fact, every single actor honestly gives it their all in each and every episode. I also love the set designs and the cinematography. The disgusting yet grand and old-timey look of Gotham City. The constant use of shadows and the dark personification of the city itself. I could go on and on all day about this show. But to put it simply, I love Gotham.
