Reviews for Counterpart

Saw this 2 years ago....an absolutely groundbreaking espionage thriller. Incorporates Sci-Fi, Political Commentary, Drama & action with such pizzaz I honestly don't think this can be topped. Also JK Simmons 😫👉👈😫

Designed to be undeservingly cancelled, but I enjoyed it quite a lot and you don't need to watch past episode 1 for JK Simmons saying "HI HOWARD". They obviously wanted a third season but the way it ended was pretty cool and very bleak which I like most of the time.

What if the cold war was actually fought with a version of ourselves from an alternate universe? Wonderful concept, writing and performances -- so, of course, cancelled after two seasons.

Forgot to log. Incredible 2 season show man. Unreal JK performance. Criminal that it got cancelled as early as it did

Please watch this show. It's so good. Just watch it. Why not just watch it? It's "sci-fi", but it uses those aspects as more of a setting to examine the real world human behavior that might occur in the event of its sci-fi element. It delves into various themes, and it does so impressively well. E

This second season was more focuses on the social and psychological impacts of the existence of such a dual world. It was really good and the ending was not that bad. The two main actors (Howard and Emily) are really good!

I would love to be able to recommend Counterpart highly. J.K. Simmons leads a sci fi spy thriller in dual roles? That's worth several stars on its own. The second lead is Olivia Williams, an actor I've loved for years and never seems to get a spotlight. Unfortunately the show is very uneven; it'd be

This show is really good. I'm not sure why it's that confidential. It feels like if it was released on Netflix it would be a bigger success. Maybe the slow paced spy genre is niche, don't know. Anyhow, the concept is fascinating, the way they explain the details progressively is so intriguing. And

just incredibly fucking good

cool premise but the writing and lead actor sucked all the wonder and intrigue out of it and delivered a colourless, bleak drama. sci-fi for people who hate fun and science fiction lol. only finished because everything else was boring or on hiatus.
