Please watch this show. It's so good. Just watch it. Why not just watch it? It's "sci-fi", but it uses those aspects as more of a setting to examine the real world human behavior that might occur in the event of its sci-fi element. It delves into various themes, and it does so impressively well. Espionage vs diplomacy, bureaucracy vs spy games, and a deep exploration into what makes one into the person they are rather than the various versions they might have been. How much have the millions of tiny, seemingly insignificant decisions throughout your life influenced who you became? And if things had gone differently, how much different could you ever truly be, at your core? This show is very well-written, shot, and performed. The main characters have rich arcs that are perfectly paced over the 2 seasons of the series. Also it has double J.K. Simmons. Just watch it.
