Reviews for Persona4 the ANIMATION

Wonderful adaptation of the game that did justice to it by adding further depths and nuance to the characters' expressions, not to mention the awesome use of the game soundtrack to further amplify the feels.

THIS WAS SO FUCKING GOOD I need to play the games now

Been wanting to watch this for so long so to actually be finished with it is kind of surreal... But god, I'm so glad I finally got the chance to see this. It takes an already incredible touching story and throws away the frustrations of the game's more irritating systems while retaining the heart of

goes surprisingly hard. recently finished p4g (what an absolute masterpiece), and while this is obviously the worse version of the story, they did such a good job of telling it in just 25 eps. generally funny and charming as fuck and the OPs go insanely hard. animation is a little off sometimes but

This is my first rewatch since it first aired. It was a lot more cringey than I remembered it, but I still enjoyed it. I also watched the dub this time around, and I really liked hearing some familiar voices.

Whilst it's just Persona 4's canon story animated, the amount of love I have for this show and it's characters are unsurpassable by any other piece of media, dare I say it, ever. The amount of memes and iconic moments between the Investigation Team, their chemistry and friendship and my GOAT Yu Naru

feeling so normal atm watched the true ending OVA along with this one which was genuinely such a good idea and you (YES YOU!) should do it too if you can

Yu Narukami is probably my favourite Persona protagonist now. The writers had no reason to make him choose the funniest dialogue options each time, yet I’m so glad they did. A brilliant adaptation of and companion piece to the game it’s based on, even elevating the story in a few aspects, especiall

obviously play the game before you watch this cuz ofc the game is gonna be better but the anime is funny especially after youve played it ;-;

I have always tried to enjoy anime but never really "got it." I will admit this is mostly the famous ones that every loves. I HAVE found love in the "slice of life" stories like those from Naoko Yamada. Anywhoo, this aversion to Anime comes with an aversion to the JRPG video game genre. To actually

I can honestly understand why some people would prefer this over the game. Very well done; you can tell the team & voice actors had fun making it & adding new things (Aika lmao). I still vehemently believe the game is the best experience -especially as the first experience or without knowing anythi

the game is probably a better way to consume the story bc of the length but i actually really enjoyed this. worked for me a lot more than the persona 3 adaptation

Cool but go play the video game buddy

we should all aspire to be more like Yu Narukami

Amazing adaptation of the game. They really get the vibe. Sometimes pacing isn't fun, but it's an adaptation of a 60+ hour game.

Dunno when I watched that originally, but don't care. Another case of *game better* but instead of the fucking horrible animation and execution the *shudders* Persona 5 anime had, this one has wit and fun and some of my favourite VAs and a little child calling her adopted brother a manwhore. If you

What a wacky and goofy show!! It perfectly encapsulates the silliness to be had from the Investigation Team. The story is paced well and has a good balance of the classic slice of life moments with the battles in the TV world I love Teddie ❤️❤️❤️

I don't get the hate for this adaptation. It's a lot of fun. The persona games are a little overrated, but 4 is probably my favorite.

Watched over the course of 7 weeks as part of watch parties on the "The Paradox" Discord server (link to join the server here: https://discord.gg/xy5yYFM7) Persona 4 the Animation (much like the game it's based on), is a story filled with peaks and valleys. When it's good (ex: the last 3-4 episode

Obviously a weaker version of Persona 4 but surprisingly a really great adaptation that summarizes what I love about the game as well as having a few changes that fit incredibly well. After watching this show, I completely understand why people call Yu “Goat Narukami”.

one of the best game to anime adaptations that exists
