Been wanting to watch this for so long so to actually be finished with it is kind of surreal... But god, I'm so glad I finally got the chance to see this. It takes an already incredible touching story and throws away the frustrations of the game's more irritating systems while retaining the heart of the story and even improving upon it in some ways, which shocked me. Not everything is perfect, with 2 episodes in specific that are fairly weak, but everything else is so great that it barely matters. Just a fantastic murder mystery with some of my favorite characters in anything ever and a pace and structure that focuses on them more than anything else, making the themes of human connection shine as brightly as possible. the animation, comedy and even the Dub voicework (hearing the OG cast back was a dream come true) are all great, and There's basically no overarching problems that aren't very circumstantial. Without a doubt a favorite of mine and also the likely the best video game adaptation I've ever seen, I'm so glad this lives up to it's hype and I can't wait to watch it again in the future and be able to enjoy my time with these characters even more.
