s1 plot so far is very much giving war & peace (golden daughter caught in a scandal, impending war from the pov of aristocrats, julian fellowes six degrees of separation, “it’s complicated” proposals, etc)

the whole mr pamuk thing is also funny like wdym this is an important plot point that’s also dramatic. the events that followed r hilarious and i would treat them as such (bitch just died??:!:):)

also. sorry to mr bates but the gay footman and the gay lady’s maid constantly scheming every episode makes me giggle a bit 🤷‍♀️
