The writing and planning of this show is insanely well done. How it ramped up from relatively low stakes to the final episode in a progression that seemed plausible, despite the absurdity of it all (which was at times incredibly darkly comical), was amazing. Not only that, but so much of the narrative was interwined and based on the personal lives of the characters, which feel so deep and real, as well as personal. The creator clearly knew what he wanted to do. Beef is entertaining, surreal funny, and philosophical. I'm almost disappointed I watched it so quickly — what am I going to watch now that matches that level for me.
