I thought the first season was an excellent slow burn dystopian mystery, and was hoping after the way it ended that the second season would pick up a lot more steam. Unfortunately it moves even slower than the first, which hurts the show a lot. Especially since Rebecca Ferguson is easily the best part of the show and Juliette spends most of the season far removed from the rest of the cast, so anytime she’s not on the screen it makes for a bit of a dull watch. Steve Zahn is also an excellent new addition to the cast, his dynamic with Ferguson is frequently a highlight of the season.
Fortunately the last 2 episodes of the season get things back into full gear and remind me of why I enjoyed the first season so much. I just wish we didn’t have to sit through 8 very uninspired episodes to get there.
