for me, wallace and gromit always worked for me more as a 30 minute shorts and feature length films than just little shorts. and i feel this as to why right now this is currently my least favorite wallace and gromit. one of the reasons i love wallace & gromit is seeing their friendship as owner and dog. we see how they react to their contraptions and the many scenarios they get into. but beyond all that we see a truly heartfelt friendship between the two. now don't get me wrong these shorts aren't bad in fact none were. they were all relatively funny and overall a fun joy but i can't help but feel these prioritized the jokes more than wallace and gromit. they have significantly less time so it makes sense but hearing that these were mainly made as a idea to give japanese broadcasters some new material makes sense. ironically my favorite of these shorts were the longer ones (still at only 3 minutes) that feel less about the jokes and diving more into the character interactions. but that being said... it's not bad because at the end of the day... it's wallace and gromit.
