i postponed watching this series for almost a year because i'd heard a lot of good things about the book series, and in the end, i somehow expected more. the pacing feels too slow for television. sure, the first two episodes are necessary to set up the story's foundation, but then there's a slew of episodes that repeat the plot over and over again. given that this isn't a miniseries, i was expecting some wild twist at the end, but it never came. i can understand how stories like this might be appealing as books, even though multiverse as a theme isn't my favorite when it comes to sci-fi. however, for television, it feels too slow. especially since, unlike books, this is a visual medium, and it doesn't leave viewers much room to imagine certain things in their own way.
