Reviews for Dark Matter

I feel like I was quite critical on this show at times but upon reflection, I think this was quite good, a different and unique take on the multiverse in a sea full of them, I like the more realistic approach with It, or as realistic as you can with multiverses lol Joel Edgerton was perfect in this

“We really gotta get out of this genre, it’s too much” Should have been 6 episode. Nevertheless great acting by Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly. Best Episode - 1x9 Entanglement List 2024 Ranked - #21 (for now) Miniseries Ranked - #24 (6/10)

"Dark Matter" is an original and suspenseful sci-fi that will keep you interested throughout the season. The story is about a man named Jason Dessen (Joel Edgerton) who gets abducted into an alternate version of his life. To get back to his family he'll have to go through countless versions of his

If I hear Schrödinger cat on one more sci-fi show I’m gonna lose it.

The example of a TV Show that didn't instantly grabbed me, but it grew up on me as it went along. An interesting take on the multiverse stuff, leaving aside the visuals and investing more on the human side of the characters, their humanity, and expanding that same humanity in different forms and be

Slight issues with pacing and the weekly format did it a little dirty in my opinion but I really enjoyed it overall. You can’t satisfy everyone when you let your story dip its toes into the multiverse but I feel like this perfectly told what it wanted to tell.

Really enjoyable show from the first minute to that really satisfying season finale. Very underrated. Apple TV is on a run oat lowkey

At times fascinating, at other times frustrating. Apple shows have this similar issue with pacing… where there isn’t any. I wonder if that’s a creative choice by the Apple, to just let the show runners run. Yet, it often leaves me feeling like there’s a lot of nothing happening, while all the inte

I was locked in from the get-go, exactly the type of sci-fi I like to see. Another w for Apple It’s too bad multiverses are so synonymous with superheroes these days. Something like this, EEAAO, or Fionna and Cake show just how versatile and unique the idea can be. Also, I’m going wife > career 1

I wasn't sure that I really liked this after episode three. I mean, I found it compelling, original and different enough from the Blake Crouch novel that I sort of wanted to see what he was going to do with it. Overall, I like how this went. 5-7 are the best episodes to me. That scene where they o

Multiverses are so hot right now. The idea of a limitless number of parallel dimensions, spinning off from every decision everyone makes, is a household idea and has been at the centre of several movies, such as Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, the animated Spider-Verse films and Everyt

many lacking aspects. still a pretty enjoyable watch.

Dark Matter (2024) on Apple TV+ is an impressive series with a lot to praise. The acting is exceptional, with every actor delivering a flawless performance. There isn’t a single moment where the acting feels weak or out of place. The production quality is outstanding, giving it the feel of a premium

i postponed watching this series for almost a year because i'd heard a lot of good things about the book series, and in the end, i somehow expected more. the pacing feels too slow for television. sure, the first two episodes are necessary to set up the story's foundation, but then there's a slew of

I have a lot of issues with how they adapted this from book to screen and I have been very critical through specific episodes, but overall I did enjoy this and it is very refreshing to see some really unique Sci-Fi, Apple TV really is the hub for Sci-Fi that is bold enough to do something different,

Had some issues at the beginning of the show but they really found their footing and I ended up pretty positive on it overall. I bet if I go back and watch those first few episodes again I'd like them better. It's a solid show but I was hoping for a lot more so I'm still disappointed in it.

so happy to see one of my absolute favorite books brought to life. joel and blake definitely did it justice, and the highlight for me was definitely "jupiter" 🙂‍↕️ i just wish we could've seen more of jason and daniela's relationship before the swap like a flashback scene to when they first met w

Kept avoiding it because the last Blake Crouch TV adaptation... yea but finding out he's the showrunner made me want to tap in and fuck yeah that's what I'm talking about. In a time where the concept of the multiverse is being milked out of existence this is one about choices, regret, love is such a

What if...? : The Series, not the Marvel one though
