Greatness this show reaches is unbelievable to describe. This season and especially this episode prove that. This feels like a finale of the show, to which since very first ep everything was built up, every character went through something to this big culmination which set up a new destination. Flint and Silver's dynamic is already top tier, i have been willing to give Flint's character work some credit, but not for Silver's character and now I gotta say it all, but i was damn wrong about him. What all those moments of his tuned him into now is just insane, his development and the growth of his authority among people and especially Flint is so well and so carefully executed. Arguably best scene of the show between both, that was cut up on few scenes of the same dialogue placed in distinct which from structural stand point is a very intersting choice that adds to episode's narrative much. This scene so well emphasizes on what Flint and Silver stood for, how they uncover their secrets, uncertainties and at the end of that scene there is one important question which goes: will Silver eventually kill Flint and at the same break the cycle of leading the closest people to death by Flint or will Flint kill him. This sets very interesting conflict which is visually represented by them standing opposing to each while being seperated by the river that is supposed to be explored in next, finale season among with making from Silver's action a story that will lead pirates to war against England what might be every intersting addition to that. This episode really impressed me from its character work to its dialogue to its structure and narrative. Music is worth mentioning as well, not the best on tv at all, but many times emphasize emotions such as in the finale scene where Max is reading Billy's letter. What can i say, this show is a hidden gem what i can already say and i am so thankful for whoever made this popular here or on tiktok.
