(review from when I finished the show) heres another poorly written review for a cartoon that i cant put into words how much i love. even though i didnt watch it as a kid and never did until now, REALLY REALLY REALLY love this show. almost every episode made me smile like an idiot just because its a really cute and goofy cartoon. all of the characters are fun, the writing is great and it really captures the silliness and whimsy of childhood....!! i adore how the characters act like little kids its pretty realistic. its a really warm and fuzzy show and i especially love the main trio (the jelly cabin) they make the show for me. its kind of like mgpam where i love all the characters and i think it does a great jov at givinf thwm all thwir own episodes, though they kind of have a bias (Samson....I feel like the later seasons had so many Samson focused episodes. Which was cool! Samson is great) lazlo is my favorite character, he's so great because hes annoyingly positive and naive but he isnt ANNOOYYING and STUPID. hes very likable!!! hes very sweet!!!! he can get mad too though! and hes a hippie!!! i really love that about him. i love that hes the whole reason for the camp changing. the show being called Camp Lazlo is truly fitting because of that.... i feel like none of the characters get flanderized either, which is cool to see from a show. maybe a few episode had them act meaner than normal (LITERALLY MY FAVORITE EPISODE "LAZLOS FIRST CRUSH" THIS HAPPENS TO LAZLO, AND IT MAKES ME SORT OF MAD).....but theyre all dumb kids so i can kind of excuse that. Lumpus is an asshole throughout the whole show which i love i also love the squirrel scouts. i wish they couldve gotten more development and episodes but the show does a good job of showcasing them all. i love how patsy has a crush on lazlo but thats not her entire personality and they arent shoved into a stupid ship just because "girl and boy must date". lazlo doesnt like her back but theyre still friends and rivals, and they were really great in the snake eyes episode!l i wish that the show couldve explored more of the characters lives outside of camp but the shows setting is....at camp...so i know that defeats the purpose, but still. it makes the world feel really small. the details they do give sometimes though is nice. i like when it shows things like them getting mail, talking about their families or going outside of town. i also can't not talk about the finale which is what everyone mentions. i cant really say much. i really cant say much besides it makes me sad and makes me wish for more episodss of the show because idk. though i feel like with Wheres Lazlo, i'll just accept that as my finale and be happy. even rhough that could have been longer and more interesting, it was still great. showing the origin story of the jelly trio is such an awesome idea so i loved the movie for that. in total: i love lazlo raj and clam. i love friendship. this show may or may not have made me cry just because i love it so much. please watch Camp Lazlo. its a Stupid Fun show. if you dont like stupid fun then dont watch it, but i feel like its pretty tolerable even if you get annoyed and dont like fun and whimsy. lazlo deserved that best character of 2006 award. its a good show that did its job as a childrens cartoon but still enjoyable for all ages. :)
