during its third season, the bear goes through an existential crisis. while this may seem bad it's actually one of the best things about the season in my opinion. It always tries to ask itself what the point of the show is, or any media in general, and this is alluded to with the food metaphor. This is really great and i thought there were some really interesting conversations in the final episode about the meaning of art, and the meaning of this show. unfortunately this interesting theme is hidden beneath all of the screentime, which feels wasted a lot of the time. there's a lot to say about this season, so i'm gonna save my thoughts until i feel more confident with my words, but as of now: better than season 1, but worse than season 2. however this made both season 1 and 2 in retrospect feel better with the worldbuilding.
