The Bear (2022)
The general consensus for this season seems to revolve around its stagnant plot. I can't say I disagree with this statement as, objectively, the story didn't move forward. But it doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing. The set-up is needed. The character progression is essential. This season also blessed us with even more brilliant episodes. It focused on characters that remained in shadows till now. Gary, Tina, and even Mikey. It tackled the themes of job hunting challenges, motherhood, and generational trauma. The trauma caused by abusive treatment. The divorce trauma. The themes of purpose and passion in life. As a show that was built on the love for food and the hospitality business, it never forgets its roots. So it graced us with more and more...and even more food compilations. You can find beauty in everything, especially in food. It's an integral part of our life, and it can be special. It can and does bring comfort and happiness to people. I think this season was incredibly grounded in its message. It took a step back and told us to take a deep breath. Before the real heat. But that's in the next season 🔥 Favorite episodes: 1. E8 "Ice chips" 2. E6 "Napkins" 3. E3 "Doors" 🍽 Every second counts 🍽
