The Bear (2022)
This season was interesting, whilst there were some really amazing standalone episodes, the season as a whole felt a little directionless, like each other season had a very clear goal while this one was “make the restaurant good” I guess. Carmy didn’t really evolve much as a character I feel, neither did Sidney but she did have some good moments. I also feel like the Faks got the Homerfication, they have always been dumb, but not this dumb Overall I did enjoy this season but it did feel a little fillerish and like a stepping stone to get somewhere else.

Def a massive tone shift but i didn't find this directionless. Instead of focusing on a restaurant goal they focused solely on the cast I think it's a really respectable decision

That one scene where Fak poured the broth at the table then walked away with it was genuinely terrible. Incredibly unfunny and stupid.

Maybe not directionless, i liked the more focus on characters, but i feel like it was missing something

The scene wasn't trying to make fak idiotic it was showing how nervous he was when he randomly got thrust into a job he wasn't prepared for you guys are overhating it

I get the point of it, but I just don’t think it was realistic

@ShaneVendrell Not overhating it, it’s actually mind boggling how stupid that scene was. You don’t walk back to a kitchen with the broth still in your hand due to nerves. It just straight up wouldn’t happen irl.

I think it made sense people do some dumb shit when they're nervous enough but fair enough ig

@ABrighterSummerDay I get where you're coming from, but I can't fully agree. When there's the pressure of how professional and fancy the restaurant is, how toxic and mean the kitchen is and whatnot, I think it's reasonable that some mistake would be made due to nerves. Hospitality can be fast paced and nervewracking sometimes for many people, especially this place. His actions may be a bit of a stretch, but it's not entirely unrealistic and problematic in my eyes

You guys are really overthinking this scene. He wanted to try something new and realized he didn’t know what to do and messed up. It was funny and completely in his character to do something like that

It’s been a week, I’m not thinking about the scene at all anymore lmao
