Just as good on a second watch. There are definite things I can understand people not liking it for. I think a lot of the depth is very implicit and I also think the shows presentation of its themes is far more impactful than the actual detail of its characters themselves. A lot of this has to do with the fact that the show often stops a lot to explain the stories of side characters and often uses long anecdotes to explore how a character is feeling instead of showing or saying how a character is. This show explores the past of its characters a couple times in brief flashbacks but it’s smart enough not to over indulge in it in a show about moving on from one’s own past. I’m going to come back at some point and write a longer review but honestly even on a second watch this is so hard to parse.
