It's been a long time since there was a big production series like Shogun that had no business with the audience's expectations. Seriously, what a great show! It's elegant, poetic, smart and slow-burner show and the creators insist there will be no 2nd season to the series. Some stories have a beginning and an end. Thankfully the creators see the interest and don't continue for more money. That's how divine it is. Three brilliant character arcs beautifully crafted. Mariko' arc is the best one. The ending fully against-audience expectations and I'm kinda mix about it. But mostly happy for that conclusion. A show I will remember for how bold it was.
