This so far the best show of 2024 and scratches an itch that hasn’t been scratched in a long time, I love quiet politics and scheming, this show is so good for all of that, the 3 leads were fantastic and the 3 seperate arcs that are told and their conclusion are masterful.
I love a show that comes out of nowhere and blows me away, Shogun is that show for 2024

honestly I disagree a bit, not my favorite thing, although I get the appeal. I think Mr and Mrs smith tops this rn for me.

it was nice it wasn't great, maybe I should've given it a 3.5 or a 4 but I feel like that implies that I liked it as much as everyone else and I didn't

I didn't dislike it but I felt like the first five episodes or so all sort of established this cool new tone and innovative structure and stuff and then they didn't really utilize it to excel the plot they just kinda had their stuff there and then the plot kinda moved forward through it

idk if that makes sense but idk why everyone on the internet LOVES this, I thought it was a solid watch.

I loved due to the political chess, reminded me of early GOT, the 3 main characters had great character development and arcs, the setting of ancient Japan with beautiful landscape was also nice, I assume other people loved it for that, haven’t had a show like it in a long time

yeah I liked the Japanese landscapes and I really liked Mariko, sorta liked Toranaga, and I liked blackthorne but after a few episodes he got SO passive and then the stuff with his former crew was a horrid decision. Honestly didn't feel the politics like a lot of people did.
