And so, the show unfolds its wings to reveal its true form. Not just a refreshingly funny, and idiosyncratic take on the DnD fantasy genre brimming with personality, but a show that calls to question how we consume to survive, as well as what creatures, systems and natural cycles feed off of our own forms and beings. Hints have been laid in fairly low key ways, but this is a certainly welcome and bold move. A particularly shocking twist that isn't actually a surprise outside of the audience's own denial, creating a nice bit of suspense for rewatches or those in the know. And finally, this episode not only pays off the opening motivation surprisingly quickly but extends our investment a little - no spoilers.
also the metaphorical 'unfolding its wings' was animated and storyboarded in a super amazing way, great job Trigger staff
