"everything fades, nothing lasts. we are just a snake eating its own tail." i finished it two nights ago but i just did not know how to put my emotions into words. this is hands down one of the best shows i've ever watched in my rather short life. every episode cuts a piece out of the two characters so we can peak into their lives, their perspectives, how they were raised, how they lived as younger people. i fuckin love a show where things escalate so quickly that you don't know which problem to handle first since they all start overflowing at once. and beef DELIVERED. the last episode was just beautifully wrapped up. the long conversations they had whilst being immensely sick brought out so much of their actual feelings rather than one that was sugarcoated and that allowed the interaction to feel raw and genuine. i loved how they talked on for hours and hours as if they'd known each other for years. it also plays into the fact that they are such similar creatures, who have the same pains as each other. it reflects on the fact that they are both lonely people who want to hold onto someone indefinitely to mute out that numbing screech of loneliness. the last scene was pure work of art. the flashbacks of what led them to this very moment and the hug. but more so the very last second where danny reciprocates. symbolising the full circle of it all.
