Silo (2023)
This show had a lot of potential, which wasn't fully utilized in this season. If I had to describe it in one sentence, I'd call it a "licorice in a chocolate candy wrapper." The first episode and the finale hold your attention, make you invested in the story, and introduce the mystery/conspiracy. Everything in-between...oh well. Almost every episode can be considered a filler, which doesn't impact the main story. You could fit all of them into one-two episodes, and you won't lose any of the narrative. The writers tried so hard to make the dialogues deep and philosophical but failed miserably. On the contrary, they feel superficial and repetitive. The acting was decent. Though, I didn't like the actor who played Robert Sims. I don't know if his character is like that in the books, but he really was getting on my nerves. He wanted to be gangsta so badly that some moments were meme worthy 🤧 On the other hand, Tim Robbins, who played the mayor was amazing. His acting was subtle, and he really made me believe him to be a good guy. The finale left me with a thousand questions, and I'm contemplating reading the book. All in all, the show caught my attention and I'm moderately excited for S2. Favorite characters 1. Paul Billings 2. Juliette Nicols 3. Allison Becker Rating: 7/10
