Yeah this is a fun and interesting one. Loved the plot of the new recon daleks wanting to take over a sector of earth and leaving the doctor no choice but to use the war daleks from the RTD Era to defeat them. And then having to defeat them daleks eventually herself. It's such a cool idea to do for a special episode of the show and i love it and was executed amazingly.
My favorite part of this special as a whole has to be the return of Captain Jack played by John Barrowman. Everytime he appeared in the show and his own show Torchwood, he always stole the show constantly and as soon as he showed up he did it once again. Chris Chibnall surprisingly wrote Jack perfectly but to be honest that wasn't that shocking since Chibnall was a head writer on most episodes on Torchwood but still here we are again we he decides to put effort in which is good. Another favorite has to be the scene with Thirteen and Ryan. Such underrated chemistry that i wish was explored more in this era but the scene we got with them both was just perfect in my opinion.
Honestly i've always liked Graham and Ryan as worthy companions, especially Graham he's just such a great written character and Ryan is just so underrated personally. This is the second time watching this now and i still feel upset when they leave because they definitely would've saved flux/series 13 with John Bishop and made it less terrible than it was. But hey, the goodbye is great in my opinion and it honestly did work loads.
Yeah in general this is just such a fun episode of television and a tiny bit of a redemption for Chibnall after "The Timeless Children" aftermath. I liked this mini story that was built up in Resolution and it's a shame it ended here. A perfect oppurtunity missed.
