I like this season, but it has its flaws. Every moment in this season is executed expertly, but it's too bloated, and it seems like the creatives involved had too many ideas.

That scene—if you know, you know—is the only one out of four episodes that feels like the old show. If I could rate only that scene, I’d give it a 4.5/5, but the rest of the episode ranges from mediocre to decent. I still can’t get used to the dialogue and the new characters replacing Karen and Fogg

This show has the same tone as Netflix's version, but the writing is not up to par, and I don't think the new showrunners know what made Daredevil on Netflix so good. Unfortunately, the dialogue follows the MCU formula, it isn't grounded or realistic. The CGI is choppy, and the acrobatics are a bit

Best episode yet

The show is brilliant from beginning to end. Episode one is a masterpiece and introduces the Jackal, showcasing that he is the best in the game. My only complaint is that the writing for Bianca is poor. They aim for a "two sides of the same coin" trope but fail, and I can't help but root for the Jac

Juliette's storyline is amazing, but the interpolitics of the silo are meandering.

Finally, some answers, but more questions arise.

The animation is doing the heavy lifting here. I can see the vision of what the show is trying to achieve, but the execution is poor. Long story short, the show needs more episodes or another season.

Finally, a good show from Marvel Television! I had lost hope after that disastrous show, Secret Invasion. Fun characters, lesbians, and most importantly, Patti LuPone. What else could a girl need?

The Backpacker Chef (2022)

S01 E01 · Students of Wrestling (Ssireum) Club in Chilbo-myeon, Jeongeub
This show has an interesting concept, but the editing is insufferable.

The scale of this show is massive. The show isn't afraid to spend money. The challenges in every round are unique, intense, and extremely brutal, especially in episode 11. I love it, and it’s unlike any cooking show I've watched (though I haven’t seen many).

I would probably like the winner's dish better because it's closer to my palate, and I'm an uncultured swine, but I think the second-place contestant's dish is more impressive. Also, his journey and the way he handled himself throughout the competition really moved me.

This episode was so intense. Chef Edward had the best performance in every round. I'm rooting for him. It's kind of unfair that the winner of the previous episode didn't participate in this challenge, because I don't think he would have survived. Just my opinion.

I didn't expect a cooking competition show to be this epic.

Someone just got Mary-ed.

This season is underwhelming. It also feels unnecessarily long, adding fillers that ultimately won't be important. HBO just wants to stretch the show at the expense of a good story. However, the acting is on point, and the dragon fights were heartbreaking and epic. My favorite episode is episode 2,
