Overall a good, engaging period mini-series. Appreciated the fact it was a war drama that wasn’t about WW2. Tobias Menzies and Anthony Boyle carried the show well, good supporting cast. Except for Patton Oswalt, who stood out like a sore thumb with a bad beard in a reenactor’s uniform. FANTASTIC sco
William Ransom you are so beautiful when you crash out.
Didn’t like how the Jamie x Claire sex scene was intercut with Lord John fighting for his life 😭 as if he isn’t already in a situationship, as if he hasn’t suffered enough!
No Roger inner monologue scenes… everyone cheered!
As someone who loved 4.06 this episode was for ME.
Lord John, they could NEVER make me hate you.
(Except for the Roger plot line, which I continue to ignore.)
WOOO!! WOOO!! YIPPEEE!! I don’t care that they tried to make Liverpool look like Philadelphia I really don’t. All that matters is I got my war intrigue back, a little romance, and nerd shit that distracted me from the fact I had to listen to Roger’s thoughts again. John Grey INSANE individual btw.
Fine mid season opening, I suppose. Wasn’t a fan of Rogers’ internal monologue, or seeing people I hate (Laoghaire) get what they want. Really enjoyed the scenes between Ian and his father though, definitely cried a little near the end.
That being said, AMERICA WE ARE BACK!!!
I’m sorry but this is REAL television… ships have me screaming at the tv like it’s football, there are characters I want to physically fight, give me another season NOW
