had some interesting moments but i just didn't buy the concept at all, & felt like a cheap attempt to recapture the magic of san junipero. emma corrin acted circles around pretty much everyone else involved.
an incredibly solid premise that grew more inconsistent, ridiculous, & cringey with every subsequent season, & yet i still loved it all- it made me laugh, & a majority of the performances were stellar
i really really loved this, especially at a time when i was just thinking a lot of the recent nature shows/movies had been feeling the same. this is a bit goofy & cheesy (in a good way) but not at all overly so, & ended on a more hopeful note- instead of just showing how fucked we are, we see the ta
i would watch 25 more episodes of this but i also could not bear another second. outstanding, infuriating, terrifying, heartfelt, shocking, devastating, and technically well done on top of everything else.
one of (if not the) best prejuries of all times followed by a devastatingly disappointing jury phase. izzy was queen of the live feeds but completely shafted by the edit, so cirie & felicia carried the edited show on their backs.
a masterpiece. carla gugino is a fucking force of nature. flanagan is one of the best creators working right now. if i say any more i'll end up writing an essay. just spectacular.
isn't it crazy that almost every character in this show is an all-time great?
any scene with mary never fails to make me want to scream for the entire duration. no one is more cruel and selfish than a man who thinks he's righteous.
matt's post-rock-hit sequence is AMAZING. just so artful and ama
rewatch thoughts:
just a stellar pilot. obviously a lot of very necessary exposition is given, but i love that nothing ever feels hand-holdy or rushed or, like, insecure? i'm not sure exactly how to describe it, but after the first scene, no one feels like they're going out of their way to explain
the best of the 3 episodes this season that were decidedly not classic black mirror. will have no problem if they continue down this path if they keep up this quality
Oh my god, this drove me insane. Way too relatable. Some of y'all don't know how it feels to see right through someone's fake nice persona and to know what a cunt that person really is, while everyone else crawls up their ass. It really can make you feel like you losing your mind.
The overall messa
An actual literal ads while talking to someone and you can't skip it unless you're on premium?! Somebody press my nonchalance button I can't pay for!!! Seriously tho, that ended so sadly ohmygosh. Watching a commentary on these crazy subscription things we pay for to enjoy life on an app which you n
Devastatingly dystopian—one of the saddest Black Mirror stories. The ending wrecked me.
This is a classic Black Mirror episode: a brilliant concept with strong execution. It starts by showing how advances in science and technology can be life-saving, then turns to reveal how that same technology ca
netflix dropping a black mirror episode about corporations deliberately trapping everyone in an endless subscription hell is actually hilarious cause the call is literally coming from inside the house
I am in awe of the cinematography of this show. So
many amazing tricks. The logistics to be able to film
this all with children, and the variety of shots. I can't
believe they threw in a drone transition at the end. To hold such consistent pacing flawlessly is incredible.
it's clear from the beginning that he did it. he never
asked once who's dead, like wouldn't that be the first
question you would ask if the police burst into your
home?
That close-up of Stephen Graham's face during the strip search sequence—ACTING MASTERCLASS;
That reveal—when they said one-shot, I didn't think they meant one big shot to the fucking chest! 🎯
Perhaps one of the greatest uses of scene blocking I've ever had the pleasure of watching and analyzing. One of the most interesting things in this episode I would say was how Jamie had an obsessing with making her feel smaller than him. He continued to stand over her and insult her to make her beco
Another excellent episode, this one focuses on his classmates and how his actions have impacted his friends and the entire school. I would also argue that this show is filmed in such an incredible way, I love how we can see how all characters including background/extras are impacted. Production does
i’m so sorry but rip markhelly how can it possibly beat this
visually insane episode. we are so locked in for the emmy’s might as well give it an oscar and grammy too
i’m so confused and scared
This might me one of the most beautifully shot and directed episodes of television in the 21st century. I was in awe of every angle, every movement, the color contrast. Simply gorgeous.
I love how after getting canceled this just became one giant David X Kristen fanfic because that's all I really wanted I also really want more of Mike Coulter in this terrible wig it's an awful wig I'm obsessed with it
