One of the better shounen pilot episodes out there

A really well animated show with an interesting plot, however it is missing something that cements it as an all time great for me

The first American season of the show and it’s still matching the quality of the first 2 seasons for me. Men of fire is the worst episode so far but aside from that I like all the episodes quite a lot

Even on rewatch this still gets me unreasonably angry, good job Mashima

Acnologia is such an opp, fuck that guy man

Genuinely one of the best runs of Naruto there is, it’s dampened a little by the filler content near the end but konoha crush and the search for tsunade arc are 2 of the most memorable in the series for me

Sets the stage well for the rest of the series, on average it’s pretty good but there’s some incredible moments already - Gaara vs Lee and the end of the land of waves immediately come to mind. Sakura sucks in this season but thankfully she gets better later on in the series

I love this show so far, splitting the show into essentially 3 different parts being the main case, comedy case and character development maybe a feels a little formulaic sometimes but it's an easy way to not let it become too overwhelming for the viewer. House is of course the standout character so
