On rewatch I can't help shake the sensation that it gets legitimately less funny as it continues.

Absolutely adore how utterly off the rails this programme gets by the third series, even down to the opening narration changing for 3x01: "My name is Alex Drake, and quite frankly, your guess is as good as mine."

After about the fifth series I stopped laughing out loud as much, but I still enjoyed it.
