Reviews for Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty

Some really fun stuff and some really mid stuff. Excited for season 2

i almost turned this off after 15 minutes of the first episode, i was so out on what mckay does with it (as with pretty much everything mckay does now) but im glad i stuck with it. excited to see more of the new faces (Quincy Isaiah, Solomon Hughes, Hadley Robinson) and Gaby Hoffman too. The pacing of this series is probably one of the most insanely messy structures that has been seen in both film and television with some episodes taking place over several years and others taking place in one single playoff series. There were many compelling stories that were worth the watch but wi

There’s not really too much to say about this series in terms of giving it a review. It’s a fictionalized retelling of one of the greatest sports dynasties ever, and for the most part it serves as an entertaining companion piece to those studying the time period. But that’s really all it can be: a

goodbye goodbye you were bigger than the whole sky

Multiple times either me or my girlfriend walked out of the room for 5 minutes then came back and asked "whatd I miss" to hear "nothing" as the answer. Anyway it's a fun show

Even with all the flash, the show never really found a rhythm cause it didn’t know what it wanted to be about. Too many characters, too many balls in the air, too much history. Had its moments. Adrien Brody was my highlight. But I’m not surprised this was canceled after 2.

An interesting series to watch as a basketball fan, but overall it was tonally and kind of messy based on the structure of how the episodes flowed.

Idk this show just wasn’t what I thought it would be. The aesthetic is very nice and the casting of Magic Johnson I thought was great but idk why but this show kinda falls flat for me. Hopefully it’s solidified in a second season but we’ll see.

Gosto do ritmo e da edição, mas não me conecto tanto como fã de basquete.

This is a really fun show that explores the rise of the NBA as we know it today. Basketball is one of very few sports I do not follow at all, yet I was completely absorbed in the story. Sure, the storylines are exaggerated to make it more palatable for the audience (especially the rivalry between Ma
