Unfortunately, I believe it received the "too mainstream to be good" treatment from some people (myself included somewhat). However, in my opinion, it is, and hopefully will continue to be, a classic.

i don't get how you have episodes like 4, 7 and 8 and such great set up for a brilliant finale and then absolutely ruin it because you're cowards and also just write some really dumb shit. honestly very disappointed.

Very overrated season. Not bad by any means but no where near the best of Stranger Things. It also doesn’t feel like the show at all, complete shift in tone

I did think this season took longer to get good than the first. It also seemed to meander a bit with the side stories, but I still really enjoyed about every bit of it. It's a great season, one that has me looking forward to the rest of the series even after a fantastic climax.

Robin is my spirit animal. Season 3 remains up there as one of my favourite seasons of ST despite the mixed receptions. I personally never understood the dislike for this season.

All the teenage drama crap in the first episodes really had me wondering if I was going to care for this season at all. It was in fact two thirds of the way done before I started to feel like I was watching a Stranger Things season and not just some other story featuring some of the Stranger Things
