Probably the weakest season of The Bear yet. It really drags its heels in regard to all of its major characters' storylines, none of which really feel substantial enough to last a whole season, and then they have the audacity to resolve basically none of them and leave it hanging for a fourth season
god please take away sydney adamu's suffering, double it, and give it to carmy berzatto. then take his suffering, double it again, and give it to david fields.
PRAISE THE LORD WE GOT ANOTHER TINA EPISODE. some of this cast still feels a bit underdeveloped but i'm glad tina is getting some love. solid directing by ayo edebiri, too. and that conversation between tina and mikey at the end!!! we are SO back
i think it's weird that this show is labeled as a comedy because its narrative isn't really driven by its humor but that fak broth scene had me audibly cackling the whole time. good stuff. feels like this episode is a proper return to form. maybe this season isn't that bad.
it feels like these last two episodes would gave worked better as one. a 5 minute montage recapping where we left off last episode before we immediately ratchet up the tension in the present day argument scene that encompasses most of this episode. feels like this show is being written with the terr
extremely middling premiere. starting to see the concerns critics had. it's a 30+ minute montage, and yet despite the fact that it's a montage i feel like we're being shown very little new information. it's a recap of things we already knew about carmy, with no added depth. after the 10 minute mark
Came for the murder mystery, stayed for the most emotionally devastating love story I've seen this year. (Though maybe if I feel like torturing myself and watching Past Lives, that might change.) This is not a joke. I did not realize it going in as I had not dug too deeply into the promotional mater
