So... This is terrible honestly.
For a long time I was perplexed over how something made in 2014 felt like it had been made in the 90s, and not only because of how it looks. It's sexist, racist, homophobic, all the trademarks of the 90s.
I now realise that The Strain as a written text was released in 2009, presumably written in the 90s but published much later? Only explanation I could find anyway. Thinking about it kept me amused for most of the season tbh.
The characters are so laughably one dimensional. There didn't seem to be too much of an impact on New York for this apocalyptic hellscape either, business as usual really.
I'm still going to watch season 2 tho, cos it's just so weird how out of its time it is.
