I’m not one of those people who overly hate Amber, but with the reveal of her knowing that Mark has been Invincible for the past several weeks… it’s a bit hard not to. She has the right to be mad, but what did she expect exactly? He’s a fucking superhero. And the fact that her entire problem was that he “lied to her”, like okay??? But at least try to understand it from his perspective a bit. It’s just a weirdly written scene, I can understand her problems with Mark only up until last episode; because as soon as the reveal happens that she fucking KNEW and was still this annoying about the whole ordeal is plainly inconsistent writing. Plus she’s honestly just a boring character who has like close to zero well-defined characteristics and no development to speak of. 

Apart from the massive shit storm that was that scene; I absolutely adored everything else. Seeing Nolan struggle with his responsibilities and be torn between both worlds is nothing short of heartbreaking. We’re constantly seeing him from both sides. The compassionate human being who cares about his wife and son, and hates the thought of them not accepting him for who he is. And the all-powerful god who doesn’t even bother walking, and instead hovers everywhere—such a small touch, but one that speaks volumes—leaving death and destruction in his wake. I love that dichotomy between the two, and I’m curious about how they’ll handle his eventual “redemption” in season two or three or whatever. It’s also been nice seeing the animation get a lot better as we’re approaching the finale.
