The "evolution is a war" shit was exhausting. Just a constant repeating of describing species as "conquering" and "invading" etc etc... Saying reptiles were the first, and I quote, "global power" and at one point describing them as "reptilian overlords" was weird as fuck. I enjoyed the prehistoric creatures for the most part, loved the representation of generally lesser known ones like maiacetus and anchiornis. Some of the animals looked really great! But others were pretty awful, like the weirdly veiny allosaurus that looked like it was ripped straight from Jurassic World... There are inaccuracies, but I still think this was acceptable when it comes to accuracy. Overall I'm just kinda disappointed, way too much modern animal footage and not enough care put into the brief prehistoric parts. This whole show had this weird awesomebro feeling to it that I did not enjoy.
