A great psychological horror that has a very intriguing story line. The character development was extremely well done and the characters, while very…. Strange? Had a weird way of making you love them even if you didn’t want to. This def dealt with the genre “humans suck” although it does have a shift in genre from a psychological horror to more of a culty drama vibe. There were a few “unsettling” scenes. Some of them were sexual (that scene was regarded as ‘to far’ but it didn’t bother me), some gross from a brutality standpoint, but the ones that truly set me off were the “horror” scenes. There were some truly unsettling scenes that made me get goosebumps. If you don’t like witchcraft (although it was never satanic in anyway, just black magic), faces (as in like scary faces) or overtly gory scenes this may not be for you. However if you like good paced psychological horror with great acting, give this a try. It does tale off near the end in my opinion, but not so much that it makes it go from good to bad, just from great to good. It’s way better than any AHS ending, that’s for sure.
