The Haunting of Hill House easily has my favourite horror in a piece of media but it's also a lot more than that, the series successfully juggles seven characters and their relationships with each other, never fumbling them once. The miniseries also contains some of my favourite acting I've seen, every one of the characters right down to the practically irrelevant side characters that with just a couple of appearances all are played by very talented actors. Even the child actors were very good which was pretty surprising. The series falls off a tiny bit in the finale which is probably the only reason this isn't five stars, but the best episodes of the show make it without a doubt worth watching.
