Let’s talk about the absolute masterpiece that is the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones

I wanna talk about the first episode. Man this episode’s dialogue is so deep and thought provoking. From Tyrion’s “i have balls and you don’t”, Jon saying “idk how to ride a dragon” and then Dany says “no one does does until they ride one” and the masterful “keep your queen warm”. Just wow, these quotes give us so much depth to the characters and pays off everything so well. Don’t forget about Cersei’s elephant love story. 
The Long Night is just a masterpiece and is a contender for the best episode ever. The lighting and direction is so good. And the plot armour is thicker than Robert Baratheon’s waistline which i love so much, i love battles that have no logic and where characters should have died at least ten times but don’t. Just wow so immersive. And Arya killing the night king is just easily the best written and well done decision oat and pays off the seven seasons of build up so beautifully and it’s so satisfying and it makes so much sense and there’s so much depth, symbolism and poetry to it. Just wow. 
Also Dany forgetting about the iron fleet… peak. And when Cersei clearly wants Tyrion dead but then doesn’t in a span of seconds. Brilliant 
The Bells, wow, just wow where do i begin with this masterpiece. Jaime’s second confession about never really caring about the innocents has to be the highest character peak oat. I don’t even think it’s close. Pays off his arc so perfectly and has a certain level of character depth and complexity that not everyone will understand. Dany going from wanting to make the world a better place to burning a whole city in 40 minutes. So much character study there and is just such a brilliant decision and makes perfect sense. Jaime and Cersei’s conclusions, so beautiful and poetic. 
The Iron Throne, not only the best finale oat but also the best episode of TV by a long shot with only the bells coming close. The rest of the season is a masterpiece but not on the level of peak that is the last two episodes. Dany’s death is such a good scene that pays off her character arc in the most satisfying way possible. Accompanied with some of the best dialogue oat with “you are muh queen” and “it was necessary” just wow, such a perfect conclusion for her character. Bran becoming king is without a doubt the best ending oat. All hail Bran the Broken😤
Nothing has ever come close to the brilliance of Game of Thrones Season 8. From the pay off, the dialogue with “muh queen”, “i don wonit”, “i never really cared much for them, innocent or otherwise”, “i know a killer when i see one”, “i don’t know” and cock jokes. The character work and study and conclusions, all beyond perfect and everything made so much sense and payed off the seven seasons of build up so beautifully. D&D created a masterpiece that will never be topped.
