actually a stronger start than i expected! Brie Larson is giving a perfect performance, as expected. i have some early concerns for how it’ll be structured in adaptation, and i think it can border on being less than immersive in its depiction of the time period, but also i wasn’t there so what do i know about that anyways. anyways, pleasantly surprised, i hope it keeps it up! very excited to see more of Aja Naomi King
