We get a lot of hints about Michael’s backstory with when Cutty asks him to go to a boxing match and he asks Justin if he’s going because he doesn’t wanna be alone with a man, him jumping out of Cutty’s car after Justin gets out and he’s alone with Cutty. And him being so protective of Bug. Poor kid man.
Seeing Colvin walk around the hallways and seeing these kids not caring about their future and education and only seeing one class wanting to learn. And the government literally paying them if some students show up ONCE a month and seeing their reaction when they have to go for ONE day. It shows that the system is failing to provide students with a safe environment and education because they don’t care about the children, they only care about stats, money and power.
