There’s a lot of promise with Shining Vale. There’s a lot of big ideas and interesting thoughts but I don’t think it was executed as best as it could have been. Everything felt a little too rushed. I think Courteney Cox, Greg Kinnear and Mira Sorvino did a great job with their performances and seemed to be having a good time with the material. I just don’t think the balancing of the comedic and horror elements worked that great. They are getting a season 2 so hopefully they can work out the kinks.
