This was the definition of a well-crafted filler episode, as this episode will focused on Nikki-Paulo, one of the survivors of the plane crashed and just introduced earlier this season. They've done absolutely nothing of note since their appearance and these two characters are already made to die at the start of this episode.
So is it still interesting if the character dies at the beginning? The answer is yes. I really liked how this episode cleverly scattered small clues here and there regarding their deaths, with a gripping tone from start to finish, innovative in the way it applied time in this episode that constantly switched between past and present. The plot devices used are also very effective, watching this episode did feel like watching a Hitchcock-style mystery film.
Not to mention that we were also shown how this character who has never been introduced before actually knows something earlier/more than our main character.
