Mike Flanagan simply refuses to miss. While not necessarily on the level of Hill House, Bly Manor or Midnight Mass with the "horror" or complexity, it's probably the best "deal with the devil" story about greed and power I've seen and goes to show that Flanagan can keep it simple and still quite effective. The cast is fantastic, as is with all Flanagan projects but the score by The Newton Brothers especially elevates so many scenes, it's probably the best out of all his shows.
Really hope this isn't the last collaboration between Flanagan and Netflix as it's rumoured to be but either way, can't wait to see what he comes up with next (hopefully with Netflix).
