Yeah, this is very much the "Call Princess Bubblegum out on her shit" season and I'm here for it. Not that I've ever been part of the bandwagon haters calling her a bad person on Twitter all week but her morality has always been an interesting part of the character. There's never any big twist where she was a bad guy the whole time or anything but, instead a slow build up of increasingly uncool stuff until you start to realize she doesn't know where to draw the line. For me that point was the episode where she leaves a guy for dead and clones a replacement, but that was after like five seasons of increasingly sketchy stuff you didn't question cause they were played off as a joke. Then last season's episode "The Cooler" was the first time anyone challenged her on it, leading to this season fully focusing on it. Like I'm pretty sure we never go to Finn and Jake's house till like halfway through the season Also this season includes "Stakes" which is a really cool story arc focusing on Marceline (with some PB stuff by proxy of the fact they're pretty much dating), they address my main issue from last season by giving BMO a couple episodes and giving LSP none, there's a pleasant stop motion episode and Finn gets a couple good episodes near the end. Even though the random Banana Guard episode they went with tied more into PB's arc which was the focus of the season as a whole, "The Crossover" should have been the Season Finale since it had more of that vibe and would have continued the Adventure Time finale tradition of Finn overcoming and/or gaining a bunch of trauma. Actually so did "Hall of Egress" They did Finn dirty by giving him a bunch of trauma in two episodes back to back. But at least he got a kiss at the end of the third
