HOLY FUCK TALK ABOUT A FIRST EPISODE. This has hit the ground running checking all the boxes for what you expect to happen in a show set in The Boys universe and it enhances the bleak and WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING world it's parent show has created over the course of 3 seasons to immediately invest you deeply in the story and it's characters that already feels extremely complex, thought-provoking, and dark fun. Pilots are all about hooking a viewer into the show. They hooked me with flying colours and I'm eager to see where this goes. Promising start and job well done for a pilot's objective. The Boys is one of my favourite shows that I love so much so I'm hoping they can sustain this quality and not fuck up. This proves it can replicate that world, but now the hard part begins of finding its identity set in a fictional universe that's just about done everything you could think of and wouldn't dare to think of.
