A major improvement over the last season. The looser, more episodic form of the first half highlights both the dramatic and emotional highs that make Mob Psycho 100 such an incredible joyride overall. The animation also takes on a more kinetic focus, delivering some of the best action scenes to come out of anime that I've ever seen. What's lost in artwork details or versatility in style is more than made up for in the directing and sheer spectacle from these sequences happening across almost every episode. For me, Mob's sophmore season is the new benchmark for TV animation. The only real downside is whilst excelling in these aspects so much, the Separation arc, despite staying true to the subversive methods of S1, lacks the weight needed to follow what was the series' peak.
