I'll be honest, I only got halfway through the show before I gave up. It's a very slowly paced, largely uninteresting story. While it's setting and setup is certainly unique, it just drip feeds the clues far too slowly to maintain my interest.
Beyond that though, the performances in this show are REALLY bad. Sonoya Mizuno in particular is awful in just about every scene she's in, and Nick Offerman definitely feels miscast for this role. The only supporting cast member who actually feels like they're doing a good job is Alison Pill.
I really like Alex Garland's previous work with Ex Machina and Annihilation, but this just did not hit for me. Which sucks because I think this show could've been really good with a tighter script and better actors.
