Poster for Komi Can't Communicate
"Food tastes better if you eat it with someone else." There's something to be said about a show that depicts the most mundane things in life in the most exciting way possible. But things aren't exciting by themselves; they are made exciting by the people around you. Komi Can't Communicate sometimes spends more time with other characters than with Komi herself, and I think that was the right call. This is a series that sees every living person as its own world; with desires, insecurities, goals, and especially worthy of love. For a series all about empathy and compassion, creating a cast of characters each as unique and flawed as Komi herself is the best decision they could have made to get the point across that, yes, we all have problems, and the best way to deal with them is by staying close to the people who love you. At the end of the day, nobody truly knows how to communicate. But we all try our best.
